| Under the umbrella
of the Diakonie Kork the two existing epilepsy clinics were brought together
and made financially autonomous in 1999. Its new name "Epilepsy Centre
Kork" combines the Epilepsy Clinic for Children and Adolescents and
the Epilepsy Centre for Adults along with the Department for Epilepsy Sufferers
with Severe Mental Handicaps and the Intensive Monitoring Unit. The Blood
Level Laboratory and the Therapy Departments also form an integral part. There is bed space for 106 patients for in-patient care and around 6000 patients receive treatment as out-patients. |
